Prof. Dr. Harun Mindivan is a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. Throughout his academic and administrative career, he has held various positions related to the development of research infrastructures, university–industry collaboration, and research and development (R&D) activities.

Between 2014 and 2017, he served as the Director of the Central Research Laboratory. From 2016 to 2018, he was the Director of Osmaneli Vocational School, and from 2018 to 2024, he served as the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He also held the position of Vice Rector between 2018 and 2019. In addition, he served as the Coordinator of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) from 2017 to 2022 and as a Member of the Board of Directors of Anadolu Technology Research Park (ATAP Inc.) between 2021 and 2022.

Within the scope of the Public–University–Industry Cooperation (KÜSİ) initiative established by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of Türkiye, he served as the Bilecik Provincial KÜSİ Representative from 2016 to 2020. He has also participated as a reviewer, monitor, and academic consultant in various R&D and innovation projects supported by TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB and KOSGEB. Furthermore, he holds a Certified R&D and Innovation Mentorship Certificate.

Prof. Dr. Harun Mindivan completed his graduate education at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), receiving his M.Sc. degree in 2001 and his Ph.D. degree in 2007. He worked as a Research Assistant at Istanbul Technical University between 1998 and 2007. Since 2014, he has continued his academic career at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University.

His research interests focus on surface engineering, tribology, metal matrix composites, advanced coating technologies, and additive manufacturing. In particular, he conducts research on the wear, corrosion, and tribocorrosion behavior of aluminum, steel, copper, and brass alloys subjected to various surface treatment processes, including electroless plating, electroplating, nitriding, and boriding. He is also actively engaged in studies aimed at improving the structural, mechanical, and tribological properties of advanced coating systems and composite materials.

Prof. Dr. Harun Mindivan has authored more than 100 scientific articles published in national and international journals and has presented over 90 conference papers at scientific meetings worldwide.
